Covid-19 pandemic changed many things around the world. One of those changes is the way people understand the role of their jobs in life. Costa Rica saw and opportunity in this and issued a law focused on Digital Nomads.
To apply as a digital nomad, le applicant must probe a monthly income of $3.000. If the application includes its family, the income must be $4.000 a month.
Besides that, the person asking this migration condition must provide remote services to a company outside Costa Rica.
The digital nomad category can be issued for one year but there is a possible extension for another year if the person has been in Costa Rica for at least 180 days.
